I was reading an interesting article about Israel/Palestine. The religious fundamentalists on both sides are feeding at a far higher rate than the moderates or non believers. In a hundred years or so they will be far the majorities on both sides irrespective of who wins a few skirmishes in the mean time. The grans children of the current lot will have the final battle.

So you live in some cases without water or electricity, you have little chance in life to get an education and so much more becasue they are basically in a prison camp while the free world watches and does fuck all. Your land is slowly taken again while the world watches.
I totally agree Killing kids etc is wrong. But Israel are doing the same thing by banning medicines and essentials and keeping them in squalor and trying to break their will.

I was in Palestine in March sightseeing and the taxi driver was telling us how bad it is, no supplies, no money etc. so (being a truck driver) I did ask how do the shops get supplies delivered (I couldn’t take a Tel Aviv hire car in but apparently could have driven a Jerusalem reg one) where do you buy fuel from, basic stuff like fruit & veg. He suddenly then couldn’t speak English any more.

Half a hour later he spoke perfectly well when it came to trying to bump up the taxi fare .

Yes there is a big wall around Palestinian lane ( think Berlin Wall) but I suppose if your neighbour wants to kill you then you have to do something.

When the whole raison d'etra of Hamas, is the obliteration of Israel, the Israeli's are hardly likely to be moderate in their approach.
